Christmas Week

As I reflect on the last year, I realize what a blessed life we live in America.  This morning, for example, I attended worship in the church of my choice.  What a blessing--no fear of persecution like the first century church---then on to the "Sunday Fellowship Meal."  Two long tables of freshly prepared Southern foods, not to mention the two other tables of desserts.  I myself made a Crockpot creation of Chicken and Dressing. Layers of cornbread dressing, gravy and stewed chicken--yummy and oh so easy.  It has become one of my go to recipes for potlucks.  Then on to the dessert table---Butterfinger Cake---chocolate cake with Sweetened Condensed Milk, caramel, whipped topping, crushed Butterfingers and additional caramel----sinful, and right after church.  It was a delicious meal and eating with family and friends made today's kick-off to Christmas week--delightful!
